MSU police: Student assaulted by three men

EAST LANSING — A 19-year-old Michigan State University student was assaulted Tuesday by three men as she walked on campus, police said.The woman told police she was walking to her vehicle near Fee Hall at about 6 p.m., when one man approached her from the right and placed his arm around her left shoulder, according to a news release from MSU police.A second man approached her from the left and placed his arm around her right shoulder, as a third man followed her from behind, police said.The men made obscene comments. As they reached some railroad tracks, the two suspects released her and began running, police said.

The student was not injured and refused medical attention, police said.The suspects, two black males and a white male, were described as ranging in age from 18 to 23 years old and approximately 6 feet tall. One black male was described as “heavy set,” wearing baggy jeans with a black-and-gold leather jacket. The second black male was thin, wearing a silver chain, a “puffy, multicolored” jacket with unidentified lettering and black jeans. The white male wore a blue and white flat-brimmed baseball cap.Anyone with information is urged to call Michigan State University police at 355-2222.
