A Chico man is arrested for raping a student at Chico State. 23-year-old Richard Bassett was arrested Tuesday. The attack happened back in October. Police say Bassett kidnapped the victim at gunpoint and raped her somewhere between Kendall and Trinity Halls. Bassett is charged with rape by force, kidnapping, robbery and making criminal threats. He was booked into the Butte County Jail.
