A Trinity College student was reportedly sexually assaulted early Friday morning on Vernon Street, according to the college.The woman described the perpetrator as an unshaven, balding Caucasian man about 40 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches, and very large and heavy, according to an e-mail from Charles Morris, Trinity's director of campus safety.The campus safety department received notice of the assault around 11 a.m., according to the e-mail. The assault took place around 4 a.m. Campus safety and Hartford police will be increasing patrols in the area of Vernon Street and Allen Place, according to the e-mail.Staff members from the dean of students' office, the health center and the counseling center are ensuring that the student receives medical and psychological attention. Hartford police and the Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services were also notified.
