RUTGERS — —A university student was arrested and faces charges in connection with an alleged sexual assault early this year, police said.The incident took place on Jan. 25 in a residence hall on the Cook campus, but was not reported by the victim until Friday, Rutgers University police Lt. Amy Hackett said. That led to the arrest of Aaron T. Bastin, 22, of Newton, N.J.Hackett described the victim as an acquaintance of Bastin, which may have contributed to the delay in reporting the incident.Bastin is charged with sexual assault, sexual contact and criminal restraint. He was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $25,000 bail, with no 10 percent cash option.
