CLARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- State police are investigating the killing of a 21-year-old Clarion University student from the Stanton Heights section of Pittsburgh.
The case began as a home invasion but has turned into a homicide investigation, troopers said. It happened between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday at an off-campus home on South Fifth Avenue in Clarion Township.
The victim was identified by a university spokesman as Kristopher Mills, a junior marketing major. Mills attended high school at Perry Traditional Academy in Pittsburgh.
